Purpose／用途

AcornSync provides schools with family communication services, including parent accounts, student information, notices, calendars, reports and private school albums. AcornSync 為學校提供家校通訊服務，包括家長帳戶、學生資料、通告、校曆、報告及私人校園相簿。

Information handled／處理的資料

Depending on the services enabled by the school, information may include account and contact details, school and class relationships, student records, notice responses, reports, activity records, photographs and technical security logs.

How information is used／資料用途

Information is used only to authenticate users, provide school-authorised functions, protect the service, investigate problems and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use student information for advertising.

Access and sharing／存取及分享

Access is restricted according to the user's school, role, class and student relationship. Information may be processed by contracted infrastructure providers solely to operate the service. Schools control which authorised staff and family accounts can access their records.

Security and retention／保安及保留

We use encrypted connections, account authentication, role-based access controls and audit records. Schools determine operational retention requirements; records are deleted or anonymised when no longer required, subject to legal and safeguarding obligations.

Your choices／你的權利

To access, correct or request deletion of an account or school record, contact the school that issued the account. The school will verify the request and coordinate any required action. Signing out removes the active session from the app; deleting an account may be limited where records must be retained for legal or safeguarding purposes.
